Mom's Turn

Okay, so Chad decided to create a blog for the family and now it's my turn.

History:

Chad and I met in California while serving missions for the LDS Church. Yeah, yeah, I know you're snickering. Met on mission, while your were supposed to be serving Heavenly Father. Well, I met Chad the last month of my mission, and thought he was a nice kid (he's three years younger than me), but nothing romantic. I returned to Illinois and had fun dating and going to college. Even got proposed to a few times.

Anyway Chad was still on his mission. Luckily one of my companions, got to know him and found out that he was a Dallas Cowboys fan. For those of you who do not know, I am an avid football fan. So she wrote me about this fact, but still no interest. Then Chad broke his collar bone in a bicycle accident so I wrote him out of sympathy. And the rest is history. We wrote very week for the last six months of his mission.

He got home in June, we got engaged on the season opener of Monday Night football, and married the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

So now you know.

On Saturday Oct 11 2008 Jesse was Baptized.
She was Baptized by her father, and Confirmed by her Grandfather Killian. It was a beautiful day. Jesse has made a the decision to follow the example of Christ and to live her life in the foot steps of our savior, we are very proud of her and want her to know that we love her very much.

Who we are.

Killian’s Kilts and sombreros began November 1993. We started out as two became one and now we are seven... Wow how does that happen?
Sidnee, BJ, Jesse, Emmalee and Robert, that is the crew.

Sidnee. Well Sidnee is the General of the bunch. She makes the orders and with tyrantical diligence makes sure they are followed.

BJ, he is the Sergeant. Sidnee will decree the order and BJ will make sure that he delegates it to his subordinates, then goes over the Generals head to the President, “Reyna” when things go wrong and reports that the General is incompetent.

Jesse she is the Corporal she deliberately and venomously disobeys the orders of the Sergeant and willfully obeys direct orders from the General. She quietly stays out of direct conflict and lets the Sergeant and General take the heat when things go wrong and do the ordering.

Emmalee, Emmalee is in her self an army of one. She will work with the General, Sergeant and Corporal only after long and arduous negotiations. Then when she gets her terms meet, which usually means lots of gifts and bribes, she will set out to do the task with the zeal and ferociousness of a Navy seal. Until she determines that her terms have changed, then she will force you back to the negotiation table.

Robert, staying along the military descriptions of our precious children. Robert fits in somewhere as a cross between the daring Airborne Ranger, the stealth of a Navy Seal, the intelligence gathering and infiltration techniques of a Delta Force soldier and the craftiness of a CIA operative. To say that Robert is foot soldier is an understatement, each of our little solders will deploy and hire him on for wet work, when ever they feel it advantageous to them, however extreme caution is to be taken when hiring this mercenary because his loyalty is to the highest bidder or to the President, which he will never turn on.
